The Family Factor: Parenting Classes

Focusing on strengthening families through food, fun and face-time.

The Family Factor is a parenting education class sponsored by UW-Extension and The Lakes Community Health Center. Children of all ages are welcome. A family meal will be provided each class. Participants will learn how to reduce household stress, learn parenting skills that work and gain cooperation from their kids.

Classes are held on Mondays, March 26-April 30, 2012 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the United Presbyterian – Congregational Church, 214 Vaughn Avenue, Ashland. Cost for the 6 sessions is $30 (includes family meal and take-home resources). Call (715) 682-7017 to re-register by March 19th – class is limited to 10 families. Also, a registration form is attached below. Please fill out and send it to us at: kathy.beeksma@ces.uwex.edu or drop off at the Ashland County Courthouse, room 107. We will also print the registration form for you if you prefer.

Resiliency Education Opportunities:

Life will bring all of us challenges. UW-Extension, Ashland County, offers a series of classes to help participants learn about surviving these difficult times. We all have certain coping or resiliency qualities. The more developed these qualities are and the more we have the better we will ‘bounce back’ when times are tough. Contact Kathy Beeksma at the Ashland County UW-Extension Office to learn of current class offerings or to discuss new classes.
